My love for baking began in my Mom’s kitchen when I was 2-years young 🙂 Mom would be working at the kitchen counters while I sat at my little table which she set up beside her. While my Mom was rolling her dough, I rolled my dough! I’ve never looked back.
Baking runs in our family dating as far back as my Great-great-grandmother from Sweden who emigrated to the United States in the late 1800’s and produced wonderful baked goods from her farmhouse kitchen. Mom learned many of her skills from her grandmother, Meme, my Great-grandmother who was also a fabulous baker. There was never a box of instant anything in Meme’s pantry.
Both Mom and I learned most of our techniques from Grammy, my Mom’s mother, another ‘all-from-scratch’ baker who insisted on baking one last blueberry pie just months before her passing.
